The Story of Mayfly and Junebug Designs

Once Upon a Time, way back in 1999…there was an absolutely gorgeous ten-month-old boy. His mother searched and searched for the perfect Valentine, one suitable to showcase her son’s latest bath time photograph. She simply could not find such a card and so… Mayfly and Junebug Designs was born.

Ten years and two beautiful daughters later, designer Kelly Kirkland’s company has grown from the dining room table, to a walk-in closet, to a home-office and now to two suites in her wonderful hometown of Austin, Texas.

Her collection of whimsical children’s products is carried in over 300 boutiques across the United States.

Mayfly and Junebug Designs’ retailers around the country have become our friends, sharing with us the love of all things personalized for children. These friendships have made the growth of the company even more fulfilling.

We believe in giving back to the children in our community.  On a local level, we contribute monetarily and in kind to our schools and to other child-centered philanthropies.  We hope that you will do the same.
